近日，澳大利亚最权威的国民词典《麦考瑞词典》（Macquarie Dictionary）宣布，“AI slop”（AI 垃圾内容） 经词典委员会与公众投票评选，当选为 2025 年度词汇。

slop 本意是：猪食、泔水，稀里糊涂的一堆烂东西，所以把它和 AI 放一起，讽刺意味非常强。

可以用来形容大量、低质量、廉价、公式化的 AI 生成内容，可以理解为：“AI 批量生产的内容垃圾 / 内容泔水”。

来看一下《麦考瑞词典》对AI slop的定义：

Macquarie defines the term, which was popularized in 2024 by British programmer Simon Willison and tech journalist Casey Newton, as “low-quality content created by generative AI, often containing errors, and not requested by the user.”

麦考瑞词典对这一术语的定义是：由生成式人工智能批量产出的低质量内容，通常错误频出，且并非用户主动需求的产物。该词在 2024 年走红，最早由英国程序员西蒙·威利森以及科技记者凯西·牛顿广泛使用并传播。

实际上，这是AI绘图工具Midjourney创作的。得知真相的网友大为震惊。

不少推特用户意识到自己其实是被骗了，感到震惊又困惑。模特兼作家克莉茜·泰根发推感叹道：“我真的以为教皇穿羽绒服那张照片是真的，根本没多想。照这样下去，我根本没法在未来的科技世界里生存。”

还有一个非常经典的AI Slop案例就是：“虾耶稣”（Shrimp Jesus）。

“Shrimp Jesus” is a surreal, often unsettling depiction of Jesus Christ fused with sea creatures such as crabs and shrimp.Said images are AI-generated, an offshoot of the flood of AI-generated spam that has recently spread throughout Facebook as a form of engagement hacking.

“虾耶稣”是一种超现实、甚至让人感到不适的形象，将耶稣基督与螃蟹、虾等海洋生物融合在一起。这些图像均由 AI 生成，是近期在 Facebook 上大量泛滥的 AI 垃圾内容的一种变体，主要被用作操纵互动、刷取关注的手段。

AI Slop为何会大量滋生？

这是生成式AI问世以来， 极大降低了内容创作的门槛，而且在很多领域有利可图。有些内容创作者试图用合成内容扩大粉丝群体，并在平台上通过流量获利。

“AI-generated content appears to be a boon for spam and scam actors because the images are easy to generate, often visually sensational, and attract engagement,” the Stanford researchers wrote in their preprint paper.

斯坦福大学的研究人员在其尚未正式发表的论文中指出，AI 生成内容正成为垃圾信息和诈骗账号的“利器”，因为这类图像制作成本极低、视觉效果夸张，且极易吸引用户互动。

They wrote that the pages use “batches of inauthentic followers” to give themselves a more legitimate appearance, as well as to engage with real commenters, and that the scam accounts would sometimes seek personal information from commenters or try to sell them fakeproducts.

他们还提到，这些页面利用“一批又一批不真实的粉丝”来给自己立一个真实的人设，同时又与真实的评论互动；这些诈骗账户有时甚至会借机向评论区用户索要个人信息，或试图向他们兜售假冒商品。
